The beautification initiative at the historic Chaurasi Temple complex in Bharmour is advancing swiftly, with an investment of ₹12 lakh allocated for various enhancement activities. Vikas Sharma, the Additional District Magistrate of Bharmour, reported that the project is being executed with urgency to enhance and preserve the temple's environment.
He also mentioned that, following the directives from the Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, the responsibility for maintaining public toilets under the Gram Panchayats of Bharmaur and Sanchui has been transferred to the respective Panchayats. Previously, these facilities were overseen by the Special Area Development Authority (SADA) in Bharmour.
The ADM noted that there had been numerous complaints from Panchayat representatives regarding the upkeep of the toilets. To facilitate prompt resolutions, residents can now report sanitation issues through WhatsApp at 8627050084, a contact number provided by the Gram Panchayat of Bharmour. The ADM office will review and address reported concerns on a weekly basis.
