PM Modi Participates in G7 Summit
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the traditional family photo alongside other world leaders at the G7 Summit held in the scenic town of Évian-les-Bains, France. He shared moments from this prestigious event on social media, including images with notable figures such as US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. In his post, PM Modi expressed, "With fellow leaders at the G7 Summit in Evian. We will keep working together to advance prosperity, sustainability, and human well-being."
In another post, he shared insights from the summit, stating, "Before the start of the proceedings at the G7 Summit in Evian this afternoon. Always insightful to exchange perspectives with G7 leaders."
Prior to the group photo, PM Modi was seen engaging with President Trump during informal discussions at the summit. This meeting is particularly important as India and the US are currently negotiating a trade agreement. The two leaders were captured shaking hands and smiling together.

PM Modi's Engagement with Global Leaders
Throughout the summit, PM Modi also interacted with various other leaders, including European Council President Antonio Costa, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The two-day G7 summit in Evian is scheduled for June 16-17. Before heading to Europe, PM Modi emphasized his intention to highlight the "aspirations of the Global South" during the summit.
He stated, "India’s presence at the G7 reflects the trust our partners place in us and our growing global profile. This is the 8th consecutive G7 Summit to which India has been invited. At the G7, India will not only speak for itself, but it will also give voice to the aspirations of the Global South," in an official statement.
