Netanyahu Predicts Swift Conclusion to Iran Conflict

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently shared his optimistic perspective on the ongoing conflict with Iran, suggesting it could end sooner than many expect. In his first public appearance amid health rumors, he emphasized Israel's military successes and expressed uncertainty about Iran's leadership. Netanyahu also dismissed claims that Israel had drawn the United States into the war, asserting that President Trump makes decisions based on American interests. As the conflict enters its fourth week, tensions continue to escalate in the region, particularly following significant military actions against Iran.

Netanyahu's Optimistic Outlook on Iran War

During a press conference on Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his belief that the ongoing conflict with Iran could conclude sooner than many anticipate. This was his first public appearance following rumors regarding his health. Netanyahu stated, "I also see this war ending a lot faster than people think." Although he refrained from providing a specific timeline for the military operations, which have now entered their 20th day, he emphasized that they would persist "for as long as necessary."

Netanyahu asserted that Israel is achieving significant victories, claiming that Iran is being severely weakened and is no longer capable of enriching uranium or developing ballistic missiles. He expressed uncertainty about the current leadership in Iran, noting, "I'm not sure who's running Iran right now. Mojtaba, the replacement ayatollah, has not shown his face... There are evident tensions among those vying for power." He added, "We're seeing cracks, and we're trying to propagate them as fast as we can, not only in the top command, but also in the field."

He refuted allegations that Israel had entangled the United States in the conflict, stating, "Does anyone really think that someone can tell Trump what to do? Come on. Trump always makes his decisions based on what he thinks is good for America, and, if I may add, also what is good for future generations." The joint military campaign between the US and Israel, named 'Roaring Lion' and 'Epic Fury,' commenced on February 28 and is now approaching its fourth week. The strikes resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several key associates. In retaliation, Iran has launched attacks on US positions in the region, including recent incidents in the UAE's Fujairah and Dubai.
