Melania Trump Denies Any Connection to Jeffrey Epstein

In a rare public statement, Melania Trump has categorically denied any association with Jeffrey Epstein, labeling the allegations as false and unfounded. She emphasized that her name has never appeared in any legal documents related to Epstein and called for Congress to hold public hearings for victims of his abuse. Her remarks come amid ongoing scrutiny of the Epstein scandal, which has significantly impacted American politics. As the U.S. government releases documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Melania's statement has reignited discussions surrounding the case and the need for accountability for victims.

Melania Trump's Strong Denial

In a firm rejection of any ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, stated on Thursday (local time) that she had no relationship with the disgraced sex offender, labeling the allegations circulating online as "completely false." She described these claims as "baseless and unfounded," asserting that she and her legal team have effectively countered these "lies."

In a rare on-camera statement from the White House, the First Lady expressed that those linking her to Epstein lack "moral values, humility, and respect." Melania clarified that she is not a victim of Epstein and emphasized that he did not introduce her to her husband, President Donald Trump; she had met her husband years before encountering the convicted sex offender.

She stated, "I have never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were occasionally invited to parties hosted by Epstein, as it is common for social circles in New York City and Palm Beach to overlap. I have never had any relationship with Epstein or any of his associates."

Melania also pointed out that her name has never appeared in any court documents, testimonies, victim statements, or FBI records related to Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019. She urged Congress to hold a public hearing for the victims of Epstein's abuse, allowing them the opportunity to testify under oath.

"Every woman should have the chance to share her story publicly if she wishes, and her testimony should be permanently recorded in Congress's records. Only then can we uncover the truth," the First Lady emphasized, urging Congress to take action now.

The Epstein Scandal

The Epstein scandal has significantly impacted American politics in recent months; however, the ongoing tensions with Iran in the Middle East have somewhat overshadowed this issue. The First Lady's remarks have once again drawn attention to it. Over the past year, the U.S. Department of Justice has released numerous documents and files related to Epstein.

Trump has also denied any connection to the sex offender, but Melania's statement comes at a time when U.S. officials have released millions of pages of documents under the 'Epstein Files Transparency Act.' This act was enacted following months of public and political pressure, requiring the government to disclose files related to the late financier and his close associate and former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein had pleaded guilty to charges involving a minor, leading to his arrest in July 2019. He committed suicide in jail just weeks later while awaiting trial.
