Julian Alvarez Returns to Atletico Madrid Training Ahead of Transfer Deadline
Julian Alvarez Back in Training
Julian Alvarez, the Argentine football star, has resumed training with Atletico Madrid after a brief illness. This return comes just two days before the transfer window closes, during which he was rumored to be moving to Barcelona. According to reports from a Spanish publication, Alvarez participated in training with the team after being sidelined for two days due to health issues, having previously engaged in two individual training sessions.
He had been absent from the squad since their match against Villarreal at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, and on Friday, he began training alone.
Atletico Madrid's Urgency for Alvarez
Atletico Madrid is keen to ensure that their star player is fit and ready to contribute if he remains with the team after the summer transfer period. The club's sporting director, Mateo Alemany, expressed optimism about Alvarez's quick return to the squad ahead of their upcoming La Liga match against Sevilla, which they won 3-1 on Saturday.
Training Session Insights
Alvarez was one of the first players to arrive at Atletico's training facility, receiving support from teammates Cristian Romero and Juan Musso, who are also part of the Argentine national team. He garnered praise from the coaching staff during a practice match against academy players.
Following the victory over Sevilla, the starting players opted for gym workouts instead of participating in the training session led by Diego Simeone. Additionally, Norway's Alexander Sorloth was absent as he continues to recover from an injury that has kept him out of the initial matches.
