Tributes Pour In for Joni Lamb

Joni Lamb, who co-founded the Daystar Television Network, has passed away at the age of 65, as confirmed by the ministry in an official statement. The network revealed that Lamb had been facing significant health challenges, which were exacerbated by a recent back injury, resulting in a medical crisis that was more severe than anticipated.

Despite receiving medical care and the support of prayers from followers worldwide, her health declined in the days leading up to her passing. The ministry expressed, “Despite the dedicated efforts of her medical team and the prayers of so many around the world, her condition worsened in the last few days.”

Joni Lamb co-founded Daystar with her late husband, Marcus Lamb, and dedicated decades to expanding the Christian television network, which aims to spread the Gospel globally. Marcus Lamb passed away in 2021, after the couple had spent over 30 years building the network together.

In 2023, Joni married Dr. Doug Weiss, who later became her co-host on Daystar programs. The ministry assured that its mission would persist under a succession plan that Lamb had previously set up with the board. “We will keep broadcasting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation, alongside you,” the statement from Daystar affirmed.

Paula White-Cain, a Christian pastor and televangelist, also honored Lamb, referring to her as “a General for the kingdom, a pioneer, a worldwide evangelist and MY FRIEND.” In her social media tribute, White-Cain remarked, “You finished your course.”

Joni Lamb is survived by her husband Doug, her three children — Jonathan, Rachel, and Rebecca — along with their families. The Lamb family has requested prayers and privacy during this difficult time.
