Khamenei's Strong Support for Hezbollah

Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has called for the "absolute and unconditional cessation" of Israeli military actions in Lebanon as a prerequisite for any peace agreement with the United States. He openly expressed his support for Hezbollah, praising the group's unwavering resistance against Israel and labeling it a symbol of hope for oppressed populations worldwide.

In a series of messages shared on X (formerly Twitter), Khamenei emphasized that safeguarding Lebanon's sovereignty is a primary concern for Iran, alongside stopping what he referred to as assaults by the "Zionist regime." He reiterated Iran's historical commitment to supporting Hezbollah, describing it as a "strategic mandate" that aligns with the vision of the late Islamic Revolution leader.

Khamenei characterized Hezbollah as an "unyielding rock" in the fight against Israel, asserting that its efforts have motivated liberation movements across the globe. He also acknowledged the resilience and sacrifices of the Lebanese populace, particularly those from the southern regions, attributing their support as crucial to the significant victories achieved on the battlefield.

Previously, Khamenei had threatened to deliver "unforgettable lessons" to the United States, criticizing Washington's military actions despite a tentative agreement aimed at ending the conflict. He remarked that the U.S. attempts to provoke war would lead to serious repercussions, asserting that the Iranian nation and its allies in the resistance would respond decisively. He concluded by stating that U.S. breaches of the agreement have once again highlighted the futility of relying on American promises.
