The ongoing conflict has resulted in thousands of hospitalizations, highlighting the urgent need for resolution.

Missile Strike in Jerusalem's Old City

Recent tensions surged as debris from an Iranian ballistic missile landed in the Old City of Jerusalem, specifically in the Jewish Quarter, damaging a parking area. This incident occurred approximately 400 meters from two of the city's revered sites — the Western Wall and the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on the Temple Mount. Fortunately, despite the incident's proximity to these significant religious landmarks, there were no reported injuries.

This missile strike was part of a larger series of attacks, with Iran launching eight waves of ballistic missiles at Israel from midnight until early Friday evening. At least two of these waves reportedly contained cluster bomb warheads. Although many missiles were intercepted, falling debris caused damage across various locations.

In Rehovot, cluster munitions sparked a house fire, and fragments from intercepted missiles landed in eight to ten different areas, as reported by police. The attacks resulted in minor injuries to civilians, including a couple in their 70s who were hurt by an explosion. In another instance, a missile fragment landed inside a resident's living room.

Witnesses recounted moments of panic and disbelief. One nearby resident shared with Ynet, “There was a crazy boom; we realized it was exactly where our next-door neighbor lives. They said he was taken to a hospital, now we’re praying for him to get better.” Another resident described the explosion as powerful but noted that it did not shatter windows, calling it a “crazy miracle.”

According to the Israeli Health Ministry, 4,099 individuals have been hospitalized due to the ongoing conflict, either directly or indirectly. Among those treated in the last day, two were reported in serious condition, two in moderate condition, and 136 in good condition. Additionally, ten people received treatment for anxiety.
