Influencer Boxer DeenTheGreat Arrested for Attempted Robbery in Miami
Arrest of Nurideen Shabazz
Nurideen Shabazz, known as "DeenTheGreat" in the influencer boxing scene, was taken into custody in Miami-Dade County on Wednesday. He faces a felony charge for attempted strong-arm robbery, as per jail records accessed by media sources. Shabazz was processed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where it was noted that no bond had been established at the time of the report.
According to a police report, the incident began when a woman named Destiny Aleman accused Shabazz of trying to seize her mobile phone after an altercation on a yacht. Aleman stated that Shabazz became agitated when other men approached her, despite his prior warning against engaging with them. Following their departure from the yacht, he allegedly grabbed her arm and attempted to take her phone, resulting in a minor scratch.
Further investigation revealed that Ring camera footage, provided by the yacht's owner, showed Shabazz yelling for someone to take the woman's phone and prevent her from recording him. The video reportedly depicted him making several attempts to physically take the device from her as she tried to escape. The footage also showed Aleman curling up on the ground in an effort to protect her phone before ultimately managing to flee.
Shabazz has gained significant popularity online through live streams, internet rivalries, and influencer boxing matches. He has collaborated with various online personalities, including Clavicular, and was reportedly streaming with Tekashi 6ix9ine just the night before his arrest.
