Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber from Haryana known for her travel vlog channel 'Travel with Jo', has been apprehended on charges of espionage related to Pakistan. She is accused of providing sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agencies. Following her arrest, an investigation into her videos revealed a particular clip where she disclosed her connections with a Pakistani official at the Indian High Commission.

Last year, Malhotra accepted a special invitation from the Pakistani High Commission to attend an Iftar dinner. She later shared a video from the event, showcasing her casual conversation with an official she identified as Danish, indicating a prior acquaintance between them.

Meetings with Pakistani Intelligence Officials

The government has declared Ehsan-ur-Rehman, also known as Danish, as undesirable and expelled him from the country on May 13. Investigations reveal that during her visit to Pakistan in 2023, Malhotra established close ties with Danish through visa arrangements made via commission agents. It is alleged that Danish introduced her to several Pakistani intelligence officers (PIOs).

Further inquiries indicated that Jyoti held multiple meetings with Danish at the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi and maintained contact with Pakistani intelligence officials. She reportedly communicated with individuals and agents from Pakistan through platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, allegedly transmitting sensitive information.
