Wrestling Achievement: Silver for Nitesh Siwach
Nitesh Siwach earned a silver medal in the men's 97kg Greco-Roman wrestling category after a tough match against Japan's Yuri Nakazato. Siwach fell behind 0-2 early in the gold medal bout due to a penalty for passivity. Despite a strong defense, he couldn't overcome Nakazato's lead, which extended to 4-0 before the end of the match, resulting in a silver finish for the Indian wrestler.
Sailing Triumph: Silver and Bronze Medals
In sailing, the duo of Manu Francis and Prince Noble clinched a silver medal in the men's skiff event, finishing second with 23 points after nine races. Hong Kong took home the bronze. Additionally, Harshita Tomar and Shital Verma secured a bronze in the women's skiff event, moving up after a disqualification of the original third-place team.
Bronze Medals in Squash and Archery
