Supporters Express Discontent Over T1 Phone Delay

Many supporters of Donald Trump have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction after a prolonged wait for the release of the Trump-branded "T1" mobile phone. Despite having already placed deposits for the device, the anticipated launch, initially set for August 2025, has yet to materialize. Currently, the Trump Mobile website does not provide any release date, leaving nearly 600,000 individuals who paid a $100 deposit in limbo. Some supporters have aired their grievances publicly, with one TikTok user, identifying as a Trump supporter, questioning the delay. He stated, "Hey, Trump supporter here. This one goes out to Don Jr. and Eric… where's my phone? I ordered three, no four gold Trump phones last summer."

Concerns have also emerged regarding the deposits collected for the phone. One user on X questioned, "600,000 people ordered the Trump phone, put down a $100 deposit, and never received it. So where's the $60 million, Donnie?" The project has faced scrutiny over changes in the manufacturing claims. Initially, the T1 was marketed as "Made in America." However, the language on the company’s website has since shifted. The phrase "Made in America" has been replaced with wording indicating the phone was "brought to life right here in the USA" with contributions from "American hands." The site now emphasizes that the device is "designed with American values in mind," "shaped by American innovation," and supported by "American teams guiding design and quality." Furthermore, the Trump Mobile website clarifies that pre-ordering the phone "does not guarantee that a Device will be produced or made available for purchase," as reported by AppleInsider. The Trump brothers previously stated that they launched this venture due to perceived deficiencies in existing mobile products. "We felt there was lacklustre performance in the mobile industry, and with Trump Mobile, we're going to introduce a higher package of products," Donald Trump Jr. remarked last year. The service plans for Trump Mobile reportedly start at $47.45 per month, a nod to Trump's two terms in office.
