Flight Operations Disrupted in West Asia Amid Ongoing Conflict
Flight Services Affected by US-Israel-Iran Tensions
On March 8, flight operations across West Asia faced significant disruptions due to the escalating conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran. Major aviation hubs, including Dubai, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, have experienced numerous cancellations since February 28. The Ministry of Civil Aviation in India reported that Indian airlines have initiated limited flight services to assist in evacuating stranded travelers. Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, and SpiceJet have outlined their flight schedules for Sunday (March 8) as they adapt to the ongoing situation. Additionally, leading Middle Eastern airlines such as Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways have resumed limited operations for repatriation purposes. Air India confirmed that, with airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman remaining accessible, they will continue their scheduled flights to and from Jeddah and Muscat.
