On Saturday, five Indian nationals suffered injuries due to debris falling after a ballistic missile was intercepted near the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that the incident took place in the KEZAD area when air defense systems successfully intercepted the missile, leading to debris landing in the vicinity. Officials confirmed that the injuries ranged from minor to moderate.


In a statement, authorities noted, “As part of the ongoing follow-up to the previously reported incident in the vicinity of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi - KEZAD caused by falling debris following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defense systems, authorities confirm that the incident has resulted in injuries ranging from moderate to minor sustained by five individuals of Indian nationality.”
