Tehran: Recent military actions by the United States against Iran have heightened tensions in the Middle East. In retaliation, Iran has targeted US military assets in Gulf nations. Iranian officials have issued a stern warning, stating that any aggression from the US will be met with a decisive response. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Iran's defense strategy is based on the principle of “an eye for an eye.” He declared that any attack on Iranian infrastructure would trigger a powerful retaliation, and those aiding the US in such actions would also be deemed legitimate targets. Araghchi conveyed this message through a post on X.


US Conducts Ongoing Strikes Against Iran

The United States has continued its military operations against Iranian targets, marking the twelfth consecutive night of strikes. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that these operations commenced at 5:30 PM ET, following directives from President Donald Trump. CENTCOM stated that the goal of these strikes is to diminish Iran's capacity to pose threats to civilian shipping and commercial vessels in the area. Specific locations targeted in Iran were not disclosed. Reports from Iranian media indicated explosions in various regions, with sources noting missile attacks near Ahvaz and additional blasts in Bushehr and Sirik.
