The series is currently tied at 1-1. Buttler contributed 31 runs in England's win during the first ODI and played a crucial role in the second match.

While batting at the fourth position, Buttler initiated a counter-attack after England found themselves at 157 for three in pursuit of 322 runs. Unfortunately, his innings ended prematurely in the 38th over when he seemed to injure his left hamstring while attempting a second run after scoring 66. He briefly exited the field but returned later, managing to add only three more runs as England ultimately lost by 16 runs.

Jordan Cox Seizes His Chance

With Buttler sidelined for the decisive match, young wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox may get his chance to shine. Although Cox has only played three ODIs, he made a significant impact during England's recent Test series against Pakistan, amassing 202 runs at an impressive average of 50.50 over three matches.
