Karachi: On the evening of June 21, a violent attack occurred at the Masjid and Imambargah Baqeeatullah in Karachi, Pakistan, involving three unidentified individuals believed to be Afghan nationals. The assault unfolded in the Defence Phase Five area and was captured on video, which has since circulated online.


Reports indicate that the attackers were driving a Suzuki pickup truck, which sped into the mosque, causing chaos among worshippers. At least 30 individuals sustained injuries, including women and children. The footage reveals the truck accelerating as it approached the mosque.


Local residents apprehended the attackers, resulting in two being killed by the mob, while the third was handed over to law enforcement. The motives behind this attack remain unclear, and it is yet to be determined if the assailants had ties to any terrorist groups.
