Many of us have had encounters with snakes at some point, but the sight of a cobra emerging from a toilet seat can be terrifying. This is exactly what happened to a man in the village of Baseli, near Pushkar, Rajasthan. Early one morning, as a family member went to use the bathroom, a black cobra slithered out from the toilet, leaving him in shock.

The family was left stunned upon discovering the cobra in the toilet. Panic ensued, and they quickly alerted the local authorities. A rescue team arrived and safely captured the snake, allowing the family to breathe a sigh of relief. The cobra was then released into a secure forest area. Additionally, the team managed to rescue a spectacled cobra from the kitchen as well. Rajendra, a member of the snake rescue team, stated, "Upon receiving the call about cobras in the bathroom and kitchen, we rushed to the scene and successfully captured both snakes, releasing them far away in the forest."

Amit Bhatt, in charge of the police and rescue team, explained that the cobra, measuring approximately seven to eight feet in length, was hiding in the toilet. Another snake was found in the kitchen of the Sarveshwar Colony and was also relocated to the forest.

The emergence of cobras in residential areas has created a sense of fear among the locals. Many believe that such incidents could lead to serious consequences in the future, prompting calls for the forest department to find solutions. It is important to note that during the rainy season, snakes often seek shelter in residential areas, which can lead to dangerous situations. Recently, a similar incident occurred in Agra, where a 'checkered keelback' snake was found in a toilet. Cobras are among the most venomous snakes, and it is wise to exercise caution around them.
