Ronaldo's Recovery Progress

Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned football player, has shared an encouraging message regarding his recovery on social media platform X, stating he is "getting better every day."

Details of the Injury

Ronaldo, who captains Al-Nassr, sustained a hamstring injury during a recent Saudi Pro League match against Al-Fayha, as reported by various sources.

The club confirmed the injury and mentioned that Ronaldo has commenced his rehabilitation. An official statement from Al-Nassr indicated, "Cristiano Ronaldo has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury following the last match against Al Fayha. He has started a recovery program and will be assessed daily."

Although the club provided updates on his condition, they did not disclose a specific timeline for his return. The 41-year-old forward exited the match against Al-Fayha in visible discomfort. Despite the team securing a victory, it was a disappointing evening for Ronaldo, who had previously missed a penalty in the 12th minute. He requested a substitution and was replaced by Abdullah Al-Hamdan in the 81st minute.

Absence from Portugal's Friendlies

Due to his injury, Ronaldo will not participate in the upcoming friendlies for Portugal. Additionally, Manchester City player Bernardo Silva was also excluded from the squad as announced by Portugal's manager, Roberto Martinez.

Martinez explained that Ronaldo's absence is due to a "minor muscle injury," while Silva's exclusion was a "technical decision."

Portugal is set to face Mexico on March 28 at Azteca Banorte Stadium and will play against the USA on March 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
