Dubai: In a recent incident in the UAE, five Indian nationals sustained injuries due to debris falling near the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) after a ballistic missile was intercepted by the nation's air defense system, as reported by local media on Saturday.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed via social media that the injuries ranged from moderate to minor among the affected individuals.

Earlier reports indicated that two fire incidents occurred in the KEZAD area, attributed to debris from the intercepted missile.
On Thursday, an Indian citizen was among two fatalities in the UAE when missile debris struck a street.
The Indian Embassy in the UAE expressed heartfelt condolences for the loss of the Indian national and is actively coordinating with local authorities to provide necessary support, as shared on X.
The other victim was identified as a Pakistani national, with one of the three injured also being an Indian, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
