On Sunday, Alyssa Healy celebrated her last One-Day International (ODI) match with a remarkable moment as Indian players formed a guard of honour for her when she came out to bat. This gesture showcased the high regard held for the Australian wicketkeeper-batter, a pivotal figure in women's cricket.


At 36 years old, Healy entered the field during the third ODI of the India Women’s tour of Australia in Sydney. The audience erupted in applause as she took her stance, with the Indian team lining up to pay tribute to her illustrious career.


Healy delivered an impressive performance at the crease, finishing with an unbeaten score of 118 runs off 84 balls, which included 22 boundaries and a strike rate of 140.48. Her innings propelled Australia to a total of 222 for 2 in just 31.4 overs, with Beth Mooney contributing 25 runs from 34 balls.

Healy's Career Statistics Highlight Her Legacy

Healy's career statistics underscore her remarkable consistency and impact on the game. Over 125 WODIs, she amassed 3,619 runs at an average of 35.83, which includes seven centuries and 19 half-centuries. Her highest score of 170 is regarded as one of the most memorable innings in women's cricket history.
