Palampur, March 2026 – The Tulip Garden, established by the CSIR–Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT) in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, has officially closed its doors to visitors following the conclusion of this year's blooming season.
Since its inauguration on 10 February 2026, the garden has attracted over 125,000 visitors within just a month. Featuring approximately 55,000 tulip bulbs from six different varieties, the stunning display significantly enhanced the region's tourism appeal.
Officials remarked that the garden's successful season underscores the scientific advancements made by IHBT in tulip cultivation within the Himalayan terrain, as well as the increasing interest from tourists in seasonal floral exhibitions.
As the garden closes, preparations will commence for the next blooming cycle, which is anticipated to attract even more visitors in the future.
