Mumbai: Renowned actress Zeenat Aman recently shared a captivating anecdote from her early career in the Hindi film industry.

While guesting on the show 'Indian Idol 16', she recounted how the iconic dancer and actress Helen mentored her and fellow actresses in mastering essential on-screen techniques, including the use of contact lenses, eyelashes, and wigs. Zeenat emphasized Helen's significant influence in elevating the glamour and professionalism of her era's actresses. Rapper Badshah inquired, "Zeenat ma’am, since both you and Helen ma’am were contemporaries at the peak of your careers, was there ever any rivalry?"

In her response, Zeenat praised Helen as unmatched, asserting that rivalry was never a factor. She reminisced about observing Helen closely to learn the art of applying contact lenses, false eyelashes, and wigs. The star of 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' remarked that Helen was truly one of a kind.

Zeenat stated, "Helen ji was incomparable. There was never any rivalry. We admired her and learned how to wear contact lenses, eyelashes, and wigs from her. She was unbeatable. Before I entered the film industry, I was a huge admirer of Helen. When I first saw her on set, I was in awe."

In response, Helen expressed her admiration for Zeenat, stating that she too was taken aback by the beauty of the newcomer. "My jaw dropped too, seeing such a stunning girl entering the film industry. Mashallah," she said.
