Bollywood Couple's Spiritual Journey

Director Aditya Dhar, known for his film Dhurandhar, and his wife, actress Yami Gautam, are celebrated as one of Bollywood's beloved couples. Their down-to-earth demeanor and strong spiritual values have garnered them admiration, as they frequently visit temples across India to seek divine blessings. Recently, the couple, along with their son Vedavid Dhar and other family members, was seen at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Yami's brother, Ojas Gautam, who worked as an assistant director on Dhar's successful film, joined them along with their parents for this spiritual outing.


Visit to Mahakaleshwar Temple

After their prayers at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, Yami expressed her long-standing admiration for the site, noting that she had always heard remarkable things about it. She mentioned that during the filming of Oh My God 2, she was unable to visit due to her work schedule, recalling that there was a one-day shoot at that time. Yami shared, "When Baba calls, how can one resist? I feel blessed to have my entire family here with me, including Aditya, my siblings, and our children. Baba has granted us his darshan and blessings."

Yami also commended the temple management for their efforts in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the safety of the numerous devotees who visit the shrine.


Other Celebrities at Mahakaleshwar Temple

Recently, several Bollywood personalities, including Kailash Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Celina Jaitley, have also made their way to this iconic temple. Just last month, actress Tamannaah Bhatia participated in the temple's sacred Bhasma Aarti. Additionally, Dhurandhar actress Sara Arjun was spotted at the temple in April with her parents, actor Raj Arjun and Sanya Arjun. Among the twelve Jyotirlingas in India, the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is particularly revered, with Baba Mahakal worshipped facing south, a unique aspect of this shrine. The temple is famous for its daily Bhasma Aarti, held around 4 am, also known as the Mangala Aarti. Actor Akshay Kumar is known to frequently visit Ujjain for blessings at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, and earlier this year, he was seen there with his mother-in-law, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia, during the promotions of Bhooth Bangla. Tiger Shroff also visited the temple in March.
