Bhooth Bangla Set for Release

This Friday, April 17, marks the theatrical release of Bhooth Bangla, with paid previews slated for the previous day, April 16. This film signifies the comeback of Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Jolly LLB 3 six months ago. The excitement surrounding this horror-comedy is amplified by the reunion of Kumar with director Priyadarshan, a duo celebrated for their past successful collaborations. As the release date nears, expectations are rising for a robust performance at the Indian box office.

The partnership between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan is a major attraction for viewers, given their history of delivering classic comedies. The buzz around Bhooth Bangla is intense, with the trailer evoking memories of the hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. However, the film's ability to generate enthusiasm might be slightly affected by the recent success of Dhurandhar 2, which has somewhat overshadowed Bhooth Bangla's promotional activities. This competition could influence the film's opening day earnings.

In terms of advance ticket sales, Bhooth Bangla has shown encouraging signs, with pre-sales hitting 60 lakh net by 8 PM IST. The response to the paid previews has also been fairly positive, suggesting a warm reception from audiences. Considering these factors, the film is anticipated to achieve a commendable opening at the box office, combining both paid previews and the first day of general release.

For its debut day, Bhooth Bangla is projected to earn between 12 to 14 crore net, with paid previews adding another 3 to 4 crore net. Overall, the film aims for a total opening of around 15 to 18 crore net. There is a chance it could perform at the higher end of this spectrum, potentially marking Akshay Kumar's third-largest opening since the pandemic, following Sooryavanshi and Housefull 5.

As the release date draws near, all attention will be on Bhooth Bangla to see if it can meet or surpass these expectations, further cementing Akshay Kumar's position as a leading figure in the Indian film industry. The film's performance will be closely observed, especially given the competitive environment created by recent releases.
