Mumbai: The production team behind the popular streaming series Panchayat has officially kicked off filming for its highly anticipated fifth season. On Friday, they celebrated the show's sixth anniversary on Instagram, marking the start of production for the new season.

The announcement included behind-the-scenes images and stills from the series, with a caption that read, “6 years of being in Phulera and never wanting to leave. #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Now Filming.”

Since its launch in 2020, Panchayat has become a cherished series in India, captivating audiences with each season. The fourth season, in particular, left viewers on the edge of their seats. Following the dramatic cliffhanger, fans are eager to see what unfolds next in Phulera. The previous season concluded with Sachiv Ji contemplating his future after receiving his CAT results, while Manju Devi dealt with the aftermath of her defeat in the Panchayat elections, and Pradhan Ji was visibly unsettled by the results.
