Overview of 'Ramayana: Part 1'
Recently, actor Ramayana actor Ravi Dubey urged fans to trust the filmmakers and remain patient as excitement builds around the project. Dubey plays Lakshman in the film. Based on the Valmiki Ramayana, Nitesh plans to tell this epic story in two parts, with the first installment set to premiere on October 30, 2026.
Ranbir will portray Lord Ram, while Yash takes on the role of Ravan and Sai Pallavi plays Goddess Sita. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Aadinath Kothare, Faisal Malik, and others in pivotal roles. The film's music is composed by renowned Academy Award winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, with visual effects handled by the Oscar-winning studio DNEG. Notably, Ramayana is expected to be the most expensive Indian film ever made, with a budget estimated between Rs 835 crore and Rs 2,100 crore.
