Dhanush's 'Kuberaa' Set for OTT Release

New Delhi: The film 'Kuberaa', starring Tamil actor Dhanush, is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on July 18, as announced by the streaming service on Friday.

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, known for his works like 'Dollar Dreams', 'Anand', and 'Happy Days', the movie also stars Telugu actor Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil in significant roles.

The film had its theatrical release on June 20.

Prime Video shared the news via its X account, stating, "A simple man, and the not-so-simple journey of his redemption arc. #KuberaaOnPrime, July 18."

The plot of 'Kuberaa' revolves around Deva (played by Dhanush), a modest vagrant from Tirupati, whose life spirals into chaos when he becomes embroiled in a perilous conspiracy.

In a gripping twist, Neeraj Mithra (played by Sarbh), a ruthless corporate mogul, discovers a concealed oil reserve and coerces disgraced former CBI officer Deepak Tej (Nagarjuna) into aiding him in seizing it. Deepak devises a complex scheme involving Deva, but when Deva manages to escape, chaos ensues, leading to a deadly chase.

The film is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, and it has been released in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
