As per reports, the Maharashtra Home Department has ordered a detailed inquiry into all video content related to Pranit More. This investigation has been entrusted to the Maharashtra Cyber Police, who will scrutinize the comedian's performances, online presence, and viral clips circulating on social media.
Just a day earlier, Pranit made a return to Instagram after his account was suspended. He shared a comprehensive statement addressing the Rs 370 Biryani controversy, expressing remorse and acknowledging that he deserved the backlash for not intervening when Himanshu made inappropriate comments during the show. He stated, "I got carried away during the crowd work when that individual made inappropriate remarks, and I regret not stopping it. It was a lapse in judgment, and I want to apologize for the video and the comments made in it. I am cooperating with the authorities regarding the ongoing legal matters," he expressed in Hindi. Pranit also requested a second chance from the public, vowing to improve himself.
Himanshu Jangra Responds to the Backlash
In light of the criticism surrounding his comments during Pranit's show, Himanshu Jangra also issued an apology. In a video shared by Starvik Design, he explained that he had improvised parts of his story during the performance. "I improvised bits of it, taking cues from how others were sharing their stories. It was unfortunate, but I recognize that my words were inappropriate, and I sincerely apologize for that," he stated. For context, during the stand-up show, Himanshu joked about expecting a favor from a girl after spending Rs 370 on biryani during their date.
