Amaal noted that his father had already completed two schedules and participated in photoshoots when unexpected changes occurred.
Amaal recounted how his father, then in his mid-30s, felt confused and disheartened after being quietly replaced. He remembered Daboo spotting a young Salman Khan at the production office, unaware that he had been chosen as the lead. It was a security guard who eventually informed him that Salman was now the star of the film. Despite the shock, Daboo chose to accept the situation and move forward.

He asserted that he was never part of Maine Pyar Kiya but had worked on an earlier version of the project called Sawan Jhoom Utha. He denied filming for the Salman Khan-starrer, contradicting his son's account.

However, Amaal responded to the post, suggesting that his father was withholding the full truth out of respect for his relationship with Salman Khan. “He is just being respectful… he can’t speak the truth,” Amaal stated, emphasizing that he would continue to focus on his career despite the backlash.
