What Makes Priyanshi Yadav's Role in 'Tu Hi Re Dil Mein' So Compelling?
Priyanshi Yadav Embarks on a New Journey
Priyanshi Yadav has kicked off her new role in the series 'Tu Hi Re Dil Mein,' which stars Abrar Qazi and Simran Rawal in pivotal roles. The show made its debut on Zee TV on June 15. In an exclusive interview with a media outlet, the actress shared insights about her character, Vrinda, and what she finds appealing about it. Furthermore, Priyanshi voiced her opinions on the controversial Rs 370 biryani incident, criticizing stand-up comedian Pranit More and audience member Himanshu Jangra for their derogatory views on women, which she deemed 'cheap.'
Priyanshi Yadav's Take on the Rs 370 Biryani Controversy
The incident involving Himanshu Jangra's comments about Rs 370 biryani led to him losing his job. Meanwhile, Pranit More, who encouraged Jangra to elaborate on his date during a performance in Gurugram, faced legal action as the Maharashtra Cyber Police filed a complaint against him, Jangra, and Dr. Sejal Pawar for making inappropriate remarks about a deceased individual.
Priyanshi expressed her strong disapproval of the biryani incident, stating, 'It showcases a poor mindset from someone who expected something in return for Rs 370 biryani. The way he spoke about a woman was utterly unacceptable. It all comes down to upbringing. Frankly, that mindset is completely misguided, and this should never have happened.'
She further commented, 'When this occurred, the comedian found it amusing, which was entirely inappropriate. Pranit More shares the blame for fostering such a mindset. The audience that enjoyed the moment is also responsible.'
Why Priyanshi Yadav Chose 'Tu Hi Re Dil Mein'
Priyanshi elaborated on her decision to join 'Tu Hi Re Dil Mein,' stating, 'It seems to be a simple love story. Vrinda is innocent and naive. I wanted to explore the character of Vrinda as it offers a complex narrative. I aimed to step outside my comfort zone.'
When asked about the qualities she admires in Vrinda, Priyanshi replied, 'Vrinda is an extraordinary character. It will take time for people to embody her qualities. Love should be unconditional, but circumstances have changed. Vrinda wishes for happiness for her loved ones, and I can relate to her. I also hold traditional values and believe in true love.'
Returning to 'Tu Hi Re Dil Mein,' the cast also features Pallavi Pradhan, Deepali Pansare, Pyumori Mehta, Farida Dadi, Amardeep Jha, Susheel Parashar, among others in significant roles.
