As reported by a local media outlet, the objectionable content was sent to her on April 27 around 6:30 PM while she was at home. The messages included private photos that were not publicly available, leading her to believe that the sender might be someone she knows. After attempting to return the call without success, she decided to block the number.
Poonam expressed that the messages caused her significant emotional distress. After discussing the situation with her husband, she approached the police on April 29. A case has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the police are currently working to identify the sender.
