In response to the concerns, officials from Gir National Park issued a statement confirming that Rakul did not violate any rules and was not walking within the park's boundaries. The Deputy Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Division, Sasan-Gir, clarified that the footage was captured outside the entry point, emphasizing that the incident did not take place in a restricted area. According to park regulations, individuals are prohibited from leaving their safari vehicles once inside the sanctuary.
The statement further elaborated that Rakul had arrived with her team for a scheduled visit but faced a medical issue before entering the sanctuary. Consequently, her team escorted her back, and she did not enter the sanctuary grounds. The officer concluded by assuring that no regulations were breached.
