Himanshu Jangra Addresses the Rs 370 Biryani Controversy
Himanshu Jangra, a resident of Gurgaon, has recently come under scrutiny due to the infamous Rs 370 biryani incident. He has now spoken out regarding the growing backlash and criticism stemming from his remarks on comedian Pranit More's show. Following the uproar on social media, he lost his job, and the Maharashtra Cyber Police have filed a complaint against him and others involved. In light of the controversy, Himanshu admitted that he had improvised certain elements of his narrative during the show and acknowledged that some of his comments were inappropriate. He stressed that he never intended to offend anyone and expressed his regret over the incident.
Himanshu Jangra Reflects on His Actions
In a recent video call with his former employer, Himanshu revealed that he has faced intense trolling on Instagram for the past two weeks, while his family and friends back home were largely unaware of the situation. He shared that his uncle eventually learned about the controversy and advised him to keep it quiet, hoping it would blow over. However, the situation worsened when neighbors informed his parents, leading to increased family tension, especially after he lost his job. Himanshu expressed sorrow for his involvement in the show and the distress it caused his family.
He also admitted that the story he shared during the show was not entirely factual. Jangra stated, "The story I shared there, regarding the girl… yes, I did date a girl… but what I mentioned there was not completely true. I had improvised that story. Because before me, others had shared similar types of stories."
He expressed regret for using inappropriate language and clarified that he had no malicious intent behind his words.
Pranit More Issues His Apology
Shortly after, Pranit also issued a new apology. The stand-up comedian acknowledged that he deserved the backlash for not stepping in when Himanshu made inappropriate comments during the show. He noted that while interacting with the 23-year-old, several unsuitable remarks were made, and the laughter from others led him to get caught up in the moment. He admitted it was a significant mistake and recognized that he could have intervened but chose not to.
