Wamiqa Gabbi's Dream Role in 'Bhoot Bangla'
Mumbai: Actress Wamiqa Gabbi has recently completed filming for the movie ‘Bhoot Bangla’, expressing that being part of this project with Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan feels like a dream from her childhood.
Wamiqa shared a moment from the shoot on her Instagram stories, showcasing a scene with Akshay near a picturesque waterfall.
She expressed her excitement, stating, “Having enjoyed all the films by Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan throughout my life, being part of their cinematic universe is truly a childhood dream come true. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful @ektarkapoor, the incredible @akshaykumar, and the talented @priyadarshan.official.”
Wamiqa described the filming experience as both enjoyable and exhilarating.
“It was an absolutely FUNtastic experience! I can't wait for everyone to see #BhootBangla and my second collaboration with my favorite @tabutiful,” she added.
On May 18, Akshay announced the completion of the film's shooting. He posted a video on Instagram featuring a romantic song sequence with Wamiqa.
In his wrap-up announcement for the horror-comedy, Akshay wrote, “And that’s a wrap on #BhoothBangla! This marks my seventh wild adventure with the creative @priyadarshandir, my second collaboration with the unstoppable @EktaaRKapoor, and my first, but hopefully not the last, magical journey with the delightful Wamiqa. I am grateful for the chaos, the magic, and the memories (sic).”
Wamiqa expressed her gratitude in the comments, saying, “Akshaaaaaaaay sir… Thank you for your kind words! I had the best time shooting with this amazing team. It was absolutely FUNtastic.”
Co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali, the screenplay for Bhooth Bangla was crafted by Akash A Kaushik, with contributions from Rohan Shankar and Abilash Nair, while Rohan Shankar also penned the dialogues for this eagerly awaited film.
The cast includes Akshay Kumar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Mithila Palkar, and Jaaved Jaaferi, among others.
Bhooth Bangla is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2026.
