Vinayakan Faces Legal Issues Over Controversial Facebook Post Involving Minor
Vinayakan's Legal Troubles Arise from Facebook Incident
Malayalam actor Vinayakan is reportedly in hot water after the Mavelikkara Police in Alappuzha district, Kerala, initiated legal proceedings against him. This action follows allegations stemming from a Facebook post that involved a minor. The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights directed the filing of the case, which claims that a photo of a young girl was shared online without her consent, along with her father's contact information and inappropriate comments. This incident marks yet another controversy for the actor known for his role in Jailer 2.
FIR Filed Against Vinayakan for Alleged Misconduct
Vinayakan has been officially charged by the Mavelikkara Police due to accusations of disrespecting womanhood linked to a Facebook post featuring a minor girl. Reports indicate that the case was opened following instructions from the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The alleged incident occurred in July of the previous year and was reviewed by the commission during a session in Alappuzha. According to Mathrubhumi, the complaint was lodged by a resident of Thazhakara, who is currently employed in Mumbai. The complainant asserts that Vinayakan shared a picture of his minor daughter on Facebook without authorization. He claims that he had previously sent a Facebook post related to the actor via WhatsApp, after which Vinayakan allegedly uploaded a screenshot that included his WhatsApp profile picture featuring his eight-year-old daughter.
The complaint further alleges that the post included the father's phone number and inappropriate remarks. The father reported receiving numerous calls from unknown numbers, with some callers reportedly using abusive language after obtaining his contact information. Following this, the father of the minor girl approached the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights to seek legal recourse. After reviewing the situation, the commission instructed the Mavelikkara Police to file a case against Vinayakan. Legal provisions concerning the insult of womanhood and sections of the Information Technology Act have been invoked. More information regarding the investigation is anticipated.

On the professional front, he is set to feature in Jailer 2, which stars Rajinikanth in the lead role.
