Inside Jana Nayagan FDFS: Vijay Fans Get Emotional
Raja, a 23-year-old gym trainer, attended Jana Nayagan with five friends. He struggled to hold back tears as he shared, "This is our... How can I even explain it? He's Thalapathy! We've been following him since childhood. Witnessing him conclude his film career at the height of his fame is bittersweet. This is his last movie, and we were lucky to see it on the first day. We'll never have this experience again, and we will truly miss him." He rated the film a perfect 10/5, stating, "It exceeded our expectations. We couldn't even sit through the end credits because it was too emotional. The only downside is that Vijay has retired from acting." He added, "Please come back again, Anna."
Another fan, Ronald, traveled from Mira Road to join his enthusiastic friends for the film. "All my friends are Vijay fans. This is my seventh FDFS for a Vijay film. It's always a fantastic experience, but this being his last movie made it particularly emotional," he shared. He noted, "I saw many people crying during the tribute sequences and the mashup of his old songs. I enjoyed it immensely, and overall, it was a great experience." Unlike many, he accepted that Vijay is embarking on a new journey and wished him success in his political career. He remarked, "I believe female fans will appreciate the film. He has portrayed women as the backbone of society, emphasizing empowerment. He has always exhibited leadership qualities."
Prashanth, a resident of Ghatkopar, attended the screening with a group of 35 friends. His admiration for Vijay was evident as he mimicked dance moves from the song Thalapathy Kacheri, encouraging fellow fans to join in the celebration. He expressed, "The energy from Vijay and the audience inspired me to dance. We are all Vijay fans and friends." He described the film as a delightful experience for Vijay fans and urged everyone to watch it in theaters. Reflecting on the emotional tribute in the post-credit scene, he said, "It was touching, but understandable since he is now responsible for an entire state. As a fan, it's emotional, but as a Tamil Nadu native, I am proud of him. I hope he doesn't quit films entirely; perhaps he could do one every five years for his fans. I know that may not be feasible, but it's my wish."
Directed by H Vinoth, this film marks Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's final performance as an actor. With immense love and excitement, Vijay has graced cinema halls one last time, and fans are hopeful that Jana Nayagan will make history. We rated Jana Nayagan 3.5/5 stars.
