Actor Vijay Varma has shown his solidarity with the students protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding the NEET paper leak issue. Following his condemnation of the Delhi Police's alleged use of force against the students, he reportedly lost several followers on social media. Varma also expressed his support for Sonam Wangchuk, an education reform advocate who is currently on a hunger strike demanding accountability for the exam paper leaks. In response to the decline in his Instagram followers, he shared a story with a message aimed at those who unfollowed him.

In his Instagram story, Vijay Varma addressed the unfollowers with a message in Hindi, stating, “Chup chap bhi unfollow kar sakte ho. Sab batana nahi hota.” (You could have unfollowed quietly; not everything needs to be announced.) He included a laughing emoji, suggesting that it’s unnecessary to make a fuss about unfollowing someone on social media.

His comments were a subtle jab at those who disagree with his stance on the student protests.
