Vijay Deverakonda's Strong Reaction to Film Leak

Hyderabad: Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda has expressed his deep frustration regarding the unauthorized leak of footage from the film Jana Nayagan, which stars actor Vijay. Taking to social media, he shared his feelings of anger and disappointment over the incident.

In a heartfelt post on X, he stated, "The leak of #JanaNayagan makes me furious. I have personally felt the pain and despair that comes with such leaks early in my career. It’s not just about me; it affects co-actors, directors, producers, and many others who have invested their dreams into this project."

He further emphasized the urgency of addressing this issue, stating, "This matter needs immediate resolution, and those responsible must be identified. If not, it indicates a systemic failure. It serves as a reminder of how callous some individuals can be, willing to inflict harm without a second thought. I extend my unwavering support to the entire film team."

Deverakonda is among numerous celebrities who have condemned the leak of Jana Nayagan. Earlier, renowned director A R Murugadoss commented, "When a film is leaked, it’s not merely a movie; it represents dreams, hard work, and livelihoods. Please support films through legitimate channels, in theaters and on official platforms."

Prominent figures like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Suriya, and Chiranjeevi have also voiced their disapproval regarding the leak of this highly anticipated action film directed by H Vinoth, featuring Vijay and Pooja Hegde.

Rajinikanth expressed his shock and sadness over the leak, urging film organizations to speak out against such crimes and calling on the government to identify and punish those responsible, insisting that such incidents should not happen again.

Kamal Haasan remarked on X, "The leak of #JanaNayagan is not an accident; it reflects a systemic failure. Delays in certification have created opportunities for piracy. When legal access is hindered, illegitimate channels take over."

He added, "Piracy transcends politics; it is an assault on art and artists. It jeopardizes the efforts of countless artists and technicians, as well as the investments of honest producers, exhibitors, and theater owners who support the cinema we cherish."

Kamal Haasan concluded by questioning, "Who safeguards the creator when the system falters? We require accountability, prompt certification, strict enforcement, and real-time takedowns. I trust that true cinema enthusiasts will unite and respond appropriately by watching the film legally in theaters, as they have supported me in the past."
