Exploring the Storyline of Ranabaali

What is Ranabaali all about?

For those unfamiliar, Ranabaali is set against the backdrop of 19th century India, inspired by actual historical events from 1854 to 1878. The film's first look suggests it will depict a tragic genocide that occurred during British rule, described as being 'worse' than the Holocaust. It highlights the staggering theft of '45 trillion dollars' from India and the loss of 100 million lives over four decades.

In this film, Vijay portrays the role of a freedom fighter named Ranabaali, while Rashmika takes on the character of Jayamma. Additionally, Arnold Vosloo will play the antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector.
