In 2005, the film Sukran, directed by S A Chandrasekhar, had a mixed reception at the box office, yet its soundtrack became a sensation, marking Vijay Antony's debut as a music composer in Kollywood. A standout track from the album was Saathikadi, which featured Thalapathy Vijay showcasing his dance moves to Vijay Antony's music. This cameo by Vijay in his father's film was memorable. Fast forward 21 years, and Vijay Antony has once again connected with Vijay, who now serves as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Recently, Vijay Antony had the opportunity to meet Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, C Joseph Vijay. Two Decades of Partnership

The connection between Vijay Antony and Thalapathy Vijay spans over twenty years, beginning with Sukran, where Vijay made a special appearance. Their collaboration continued with two more films: Vettaikaaran (2009) and Velayudham (2011).

Vettaikaaran, directed by B. Babusivan, featured Vijay alongside Anushka Shetty and others, telling the story of an aspiring policeman facing a formidable gangster. Velayudham, directed by Mohan Raja, starred Vijay with Genelia D'Souza and became one of his notable commercial successes.

Future Projects

On the professional front, Vijay Antony was last seen in Shakthi Thirumagan and is now looking forward to the release of Nooru Sami, directed by Sasi, marking a reunion with the filmmaker after Pichaikkaran. In addition to acting, he has taken on the role of producer for this project, with his daughter Meera Vijay Antony also involved as a presenter.
