Ustaad Bhagat Singh Set for March 19 Release

The highly anticipated film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, featuring Pawan Kalyan, is scheduled to premiere in theaters on March 19. The movie has already begun its box office journey with promising advance ticket sales. Despite facing tough competition from another release, the film has garnered significant interest, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions. Expectations are soaring due to Pawan Kalyan's immense popularity, and the initial booking figures indicate a positive response. With just one day remaining until its debut, the industry is keenly observing how much more traction the film can gain.

Advance Booking Insights for Ustaad Bhagat Singh

According to industry sources, Ustaad Bhagat Singh has successfully sold over 300,000 tickets for its opening day across the nation. The film has already amassed approximately ₹13 crore in gross advance bookings, which includes reserved seats. These figures are encouraging and are anticipated to rise further by the release date.

With nearly 3,600 screenings planned nationwide, the film's extensive release strategy positions it well for increased ticket sales. In terms of regional performance, Andhra Pradesh leads with around ₹7.6 crore in gross advance sales, followed closely by Telangana with approximately ₹4.5 crore. Karnataka has also contributed over ₹1 crore to the total.

While the current advance booking pace is not unprecedented, it indicates a solid foundation for the film. However, when compared to other major Telugu releases this year, particularly Prabhas' The Raja Saab, it may not rank as high in pre-sale figures.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Faces Competition from Dhurandhar 2

The primary challenge for Ustaad Bhagat Singh is its simultaneous release with Dhurandhar 2, which is set to debut on the same day. Despite this rivalry, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is maintaining a strong position, thanks to Pawan Kalyan's dedicated fan following. Dhurandhar 2 has reportedly secured close to ₹50 crore in advance sales for its premiere day. As for its opening day on March 19, the spy thriller has already earned over ₹40 crore across India. Nevertheless, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is expected to perform robustly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where Pawan Kalyan's appeal is unparalleled. Conversely, Dhurandhar 2 is likely to excel in North India and multiplex venues.

Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh also features Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, and R Parthiban. The film's production budget is reported to be around ₹150 crore.
