Release Details of 'Ikkis'
The biographical drama 'Ikkis', directed by Sriram Raghavan, is set to hit theaters on January 1st. Originally, the film was slated for a December 25th release but has since been delayed. This film is particularly significant as it marks the final performance of the legendary actor Dharmendra, while Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, will be making his debut in this project.
Bobby Deol's Special Thanks
As excitement builds for the film's premiere, reports indicate that the producers have included a special acknowledgment for Bobby Deol in the credits. Bobby Deol Dubbed the Dialogues
Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24th at the age of 89, portrays ML Khetarpal, the father of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, one of the youngest recipients of the Param Vir Chakra in India. For this poignant project, Bobby Deol has lent his voice to the dialogues of the younger version of ML Khetarpal.
Bobby's Connection to Dharmendra
This creative choice is expected to enrich the film, as Bobby's voice will enhance the depiction of the character's youth, making the transition more powerful. Also Played Young Dharmendra's Role
Interestingly, this isn't Bobby Deol's first time voicing a character associated with Dharmendra. He made his acting debut in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Barsaat' in 1995, produced under the banner of Santoshi's late father, Vijayta Films. However, many fans may not know that Bobby's journey in the film industry began in 1977 when he appeared as the younger version of Dharmendra's character, Dharam Singh, in Manmohan Desai's 'Dharam Veer'. At that time, he was known as 'Master Bobby'. Now, five decades later, Bobby Deol has made a small yet meaningful contribution to Dharmendra's final film.
