Bollywood is currently witnessing a surge in sequels and franchises, with numerous follow-up films hitting theaters in 2025. While some have achieved box office success, others have not fared as well. This trend is expected to persist into 2026, with several sequels and new installments lined up for release. Here’s a look at the films set to debut next year…

Border 2

The first major release of 2026 will be 'Border 2', a sequel to the 1997 classic 'Border'. Although the storyline is anticipated to differ from its predecessor, the film will still highlight the bravery of the Indian Army. Directed by Anurag Singh, it features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in leading roles, with a release date set for January 23rd.

Mardaani 3

Rani Mukerji returns to her iconic role in 'Mardaani 3', the latest installment in the franchise that began with her 2014 film. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, this sequel is scheduled to hit theaters on February 27th.

Dhurandhar 2
