Surya Sharma's Family-Oriented Approach

In the series Undekhi on SonyLIV, Surya Sharma portrays the fierce character Rinku Atwal, yet he reveals a softer side as a devoted family man. The actor enjoys watching his shows exclusively with his wife Manasi and their family. During the filming of the drama thriller last year, Surya made the decision to bring his son Deva and Manasi to the set, which provided him comfort after long shooting hours. He acknowledged the audience's role in the show's success and hinted at the possibility of a fifth season.

Surya's Experience on Set

Why Surya Sharma felt relief on Undekhi set

In a conversation with Zoom, Surya expressed his preference for watching his shows only after they are released. He enjoys viewing them at home with his family, although he admits to being critical of his performances. He stated, "I often feel it could be better because I'm never fully satisfied with my work. I prefer not to watch alone, and it's nice to share the experience with my family. I don't host screenings or parties; I simply enjoy watching at home." Last year, he and Manasi welcomed their first child, Deva, and decided to have them accompany him during the lengthy filming of Undekhi. Surya emphasized the importance of being present for his family, saying, "We are hands-on parents and want to dedicate our time to Deva until he starts school."

The Importance of Family

Surya reflected on the challenges of being away from his family, especially during shoots in Himachal. He shared, "I was considering traveling without seeing my family, particularly my son Deva, and I worried about how Manasi would manage. Although we have help, we prefer to be actively involved in our child's life. I asked Manasi if she would like to join me on set, and we could care for Deva together." He noted that returning to his family after intense filming was a relief, stating, "After portraying such a demanding character, it was beneficial to reconnect with my son and family. You can't carry the character's stress all the time; otherwise, it affects your well-being and performance."

Looking Ahead to Undekhi Season 5

Returning for Undekhi Season 5

When questioned about the potential for a fifth season of the popular series, Surya expressed enthusiasm about returning. He remarked, "The audience has shown immense love for Undekhi, and that support has contributed to its success. I firmly believe that the affection from viewers is evident to everyone involved. I'm eagerly awaiting updates, as the show has proven to be a hit once again."

Both Brown and Undekhi Season 4 are currently available for streaming on OTT platforms, with Surya portraying police officer Arjun Sinha in the Zee5 thriller alongside Karisma Kapoor.
