In the June 27 episode of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, Nandini committed an unimaginable act by ending her own son's life. The episode commenced with Vaishnavi pleading for Parth's assistance. While trying to help Nandini from a cliff, he unexpectedly pushed her against a rock, leaving her shocked to see Rio on the ground. Following this, Parth suggested to Vaishnavi that he should have eliminated Rio in front of her to frame her for his death due to a serious accusation.

Parth then attempted to manipulate Vaishnavi, claiming he could do as he pleased because they were married. Nandini arrived just in time to confront her son, alarmed by the sight of Rio on the ground and Vaishnavi injured. She demanded explanations from Parth about his actions and expressed her outrage, questioning how he could treat Vaishnavi so poorly without her consent.

Parth defended his actions, asserting that as Vaishnavi's husband, he had the right to act as he wished. He also revealed his malicious intentions towards Vaishnavi and ordered his mother to leave. However, just as he was about to execute his threat, Nandini took decisive action and shot Parth.
