These movies, each representing distinct genres, are showcasing the global appeal of Indian cinema. According to the latest data from the streaming platform, these titles have become the most-viewed in various countries, marking a significant achievement for Indian filmmakers. Following the recent debut of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the original Dhurandhar has seen a resurgence in popularity as audiences flock to revisit it. Additionally, the war drama Border 2 and the Tamil film Made In Korea are also performing exceptionally well in the rankings.

The week of March 16 to March 22 saw a jump for Indian titles.


During this period, Made In Korea, featuring Priyanka Mohan, Rishikanth, Park Hye-jin, and Si-hun Baek, topped the chart at No. 1, while Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, secured the No. 2 spot. Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, led by Ranveer Singh, came in at No. 3. Another Tamil film, With Love, also made its mark by reaching the seventh position in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Films (Non-English). This week stands out as one of the most impressive performances for Indian films across various languages on Netflix's global stage.



A Steady Rise for Indian Cinema

This achievement is the culmination of a sustained effort by Indian cinema to break into global rankings. Films like Saiyaara, Jolly LLB, Haq, and Baramulla have previously maintained their positions on the Global Top 10 chart for several weeks. Titles such as Inspector Zende and the Tamil film Idli Kadai have trended in over 15 countries, while Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Ranta's Accused became the first Indian film to reach 72 countries during its premiere week. Additionally, the Gujarati horror film Vash Level 2 has also trended in the Top 10 across eight nations.

In another notable development, the reunion of BTS, with all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—after nearly four years, has made waves on Netflix. The BTS The Comeback Live ARIRANG event attracted an impressive audience, with 18.4 million Live+1 Average Minute Audience (AMA) viewers globally, surpassing viewership for major events like the Oscars and Grammys. This concert film now ranks as the sixth most-watched live event in Netflix's history.
