Peter Serafinowicz Joins the Cast of Harry Potter
As per reports from a leading entertainment magazine, Peter Serafinowicz is set to portray Peeves, a mischievous ghost notorious for causing trouble within the halls of Hogwarts. Although Peeves was absent from the original Harry Potter films, his inclusion in the HBO adaptation could prove significant. Peter is recognized for his role as Edgar Covington in Parks and Recreation and has also appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy as Denarian Saal. His recent work includes a role in the live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon.
In the original Harry Potter film series, the late Rik Mayall was initially cast to play Peeves, but his scenes were ultimately cut due to various reasons. Rik had mentioned that he filmed some scenes and was compensated, but later learned he would not be featured in the final cut. He humorously recalled how his children attended the film's premiere without him, believing he had played Hagrid due to the impressive makeup.
