This action-packed drama hit theaters on May 15 and was directed by RJ Balaji, achieving an impressive opening of Rs 15.5 crore at the box office. Amidst this success, rumors have emerged regarding a potential new project for the actress. Reports indicate that she is being considered for a film produced by a company established by Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Leader of Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Allegedly, Trisha has received a substantial offer for this role.

According to various reports, Trisha has been offered Rs 12 crore to star in a film from Udhayanidhi Stalin's production house. However, there has been no official confirmation from the production team, and Trisha has yet to comment on these rumors.



Meanwhile, Karuppu continues to perform well at the box office, with Trisha portraying the character Preethi, a lawyer, while Suriya plays Karuppuswamy and Saravanan. The film has grossed Rs 21.93 crore globally, backed by Dream Warrior Pictures.

Prior to its release, Karuppu received significant backing from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay, who authorized special 9 am screenings for the film. The production team expressed their gratitude on X, stating, "Special thanks to our honorable Chief Minister Thiru. Joseph Vijay for granting the special permission for the 9 AM shows of Karuppu."


Upcoming Projects for Trisha Krishnan


Looking ahead, Trisha is set to appear in Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta, alongside Chiranjeevi, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath. Initially scheduled for a 2025 release, the film's new date has not yet been confirmed. Additionally, she will feature in Ram, starring Mohanlal, which is directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Peacock Film Production, Abhishek Films, and Passion Studios, with a reported budget of Rs 140 crore.
