Renowned playback singer Suman Kalyanpur has sadly passed away at the age of 89. She took her last breath on May 31 at her home in Mumbai. Mangala Khadilkar, an author and close friend, shared that the beloved singer died peacefully around 8 PM. In her final days, Kalyanpur reportedly listened to her own music. A prominent figure in the Indian music scene during the 1960s and 1970s, she made significant contributions to the industry. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow over her passing.

Throughout her illustrious career, she collaborated with esteemed composers such as Madan Mohan Kohli, SD Burman, and Naushad, beginning her journey with All India Radio in 1952.
